Felt Pom-Pom Tutorial

Who doesn't LOVE an easy-ish project? These pom-pom's are one of the easiest DIY flower I've ever done.  I made them for my easter wreath and they were an easy way to "fill in" large areas on it.

For this project you will need:

  • Multi-colored felt
  • Fabri-tac fabric glue
  • Scissors

Cut out a 4" x 11" piece of felt. You should be able to get about three of these per felt page. Fold the felt in half and glue the outer edges together with fabri-tac.

Press the edge together with your fingers until its bonded (this should take 30 seconds.) I glued all of the ones I planned to do at the same time to keep the glueing to a minimum. Isn't "glueing" a funny sounding word? Moving on...

Using the tip of your scissors cut the rounded edge in 1/2 inch spaces or whatever size you'd like, have fun with it. Starting at one end, fabri-tac the (bottom glued edge) to itself, roll and glue.

Continue rolling and gluing while holding the pom-pom tightly in hand.
The bottom should look like a swirled cinnamon roll. The neater the better!

And presto! You'll have lovely pom-poms to add your personal touch to an Easter wreath, headband or gift box.

    Enjoy!
